The Children’s Computer Corner, LLC has been enjoying the opportunity of teaching local children since 1998.  You can find our program in Preschools and Daycare Centers throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington, and Maryland.  Accredited schools such as Goddard, Kindercare, Kiddie Academy, YMCA, Tutor Time, Great New Beginnings and The Mulberry School have allowed our program to be included in theirs.  We have experienced teachers who understand how to teach a young child in a warm, safe and positive atmosphere.  Our teachers have mastered the most important element in teaching and that is making learning fun.

We use a variety of PC and Apple desktop and laptop computers and peripherals such as printers, digital cameras and touch pads.  Rotating our computers every three months, allows the children to be exposed to many different pieces of technology - helping them feel comfortable and confident no matter what type of computer or configuration they are faced with.

The children gain knowledge of the parts of the computer and how each piece is needed.  They learn a monthly vocabulary word and that the computer is a tool for learning, not a toy.  In addition to using the computer and having hands-on training, the children also learn from the software programs.  The software changes every two to four weeks allowing the children to become skilled at phonics, math, science, foreign languages, logical thinking and reasoning skills.  The teacher who writes our curriculum has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education specializing in Early Childhood Education.  She understands how a young child learns.

Small class sizes allow each child to experience individualized attention and lots of positive reinforcement, while still having the benefit of working within a group to help build cooperation, tolerance and patience.

The program has been successful and rapidly expanding.  We can contribute our success to the fact that the children have flourished under our program utilizing their computer skills at home and at school.  Also, the children have learned without realizing that they are learning because our classes are fast-paced and fun!  There were parents and educators who began our program skeptical because they either did not believe that children at such a young age could benefit so greatly from this experience.  These same people have come to the realization that when children are in an environment that is safe, secure and positive, they are able to soak up the knowledge, have an easier time learning and are able to remember what they have learned from one week to the next.  The confidence, knowledge and experience that the children receive from the Children’s Computer Corner, LLC  Program helps advance them as our world is turning to technology as a standard of learning and a way of life.
